6th NHVI

Musicians' Corner

The 6th New Hampshire field music presents authentic fife-and-drum field music and camp duty tunes to help regulate the routine in camp, to help keep soldiers in step while on the march, and occasionally to provide entertainment for soldiers and civilians.

Field musicians in the 6th use the National Regiment's music book as their standard source of authentic tunes, and also branch out by playing tunes from The Drummers' and Fifers' Guide by George B. Bruce and Dan D. Emmett, Howe's U.S. Regulation Drum and Fife Instructor, Strube's Drum and Fife Instructor, Col. H.C. Hart's New and Improved Instructor for the Drum, and The American Veteran Fifer.

Fife Major John Keller and Drum Major Dave Hare welcome interested new musicians to join the ranks of the 6th New Hampshire.

Contact them or the Webmaster for more information.
