Living History / Presentations

6th NHVI

Civilian Corner

The goal of this unit is to portray the life and activities of a civilian organization, typical of the era, which was dedicated to the aide, support and supply of some goods and services to the soldiers. Authentic activities are learned and presented by the women and children of the Aide Society. This Unit is not part of the military camp and is subject to the rules for civilian reeactors at all events. Governance of the unit is through its own administrative structure. Authenticity and historical accuracy are goals of the Aide Society.

Both units are serious about their missions, but carry out their aims as organizations that provide individual satisfaction, social interaction and friendship, service to the community, and do so in the spirit of a "hobby well done." It is to those ends that we invite new members to come and join us -- we welcome your talents and your perspective of history.
